TWO organisations for people seeking a deeper understanding of how God is at work in their everyday lives are going from strength to strength, according to local leaders.

The Christian Life Community, which is based on the ways of the Spanish priest and theologian St Ignatious Loyola, already has four groups in Jersey and is looking at forming a fifth.

It also has links with another group, the Ignatian Retreat Group, which offers quiet mornings and retreats for people who need time out from their busy lives.

Ignatian Spirituality, which is at the heart of both organisations, was recently featured in the BBC2 documentary The Big Silence, which followed five people through an individually guided retreat.

And, the cluster chaplain for CLC in Jersey, Paula Foster, said that she and the rest of the local community are ready to respond to any interest that may have been awakened in people following the programme.
