Former Senator jailed

FORMER Senator Stuart Syvret has been jailed for ten weeks after being found guilty of breaking the data protection law and being in contempt of court.
The former Health Minister was also fined £4,200 and ordered to pay legal costs of £10,000 as his lengthy court case concluded in the Magistrate’s Court late this afternoon.
Syvret was found guilty of twice breaching the data protection law and being in contempt of court on three occasions.
