Putting down a marker
Monday 22nd November 2010, 3:00PM GMT.

Pitman came off the bench for Bristol to score the first goal in a 2-0 home success over Sven Goran Eriksson’s Leicester City, while, at Twickenham, Banahan was staking a claim to a place in the England team for the Six Nations and, in just under a year, their World Cup squad.
Guthrie won silver with England in the World Netball Series, going down to reigning champions New Zealand in yesterday’s 28-26 final.
