UK raider lifts third title

IT may have been delayed by a year but UK runner Peter Norris yesterday completed his hat-trick of wins in the Jersey Spartan AC’s Victor Hugo/Modern Hotels Half Marathon.

The 27-year-old crossed the line in 1.14.29 hr, 44 seconds ahead of Guernsey’s Ronan Shally and Jersey-based professional triathlete Nick Saunders (1.16.17 hr).

Jersey Marathon winner Claire Forbes’ late entry proved a good move as she was the first lady to finish, clocking 1.27.05 at FB Fields yesterday. She beat Katie Thompson into second place by seven seconds with Arlene Lewis third in 1.28.29 hr.
