This year’s sales look like being a record

THE top prize in this year’s Christmas lottery has broken the record and is quickly heading towards £700,000.

The current total stands at £670,000, but the organisers say that if ticket sales continue at the current rate, whoever wins will receive a record sum.

Tickets for the annual draw are normally a sell-out and the organisers are expecting the same this year, despite printing 15 per cent more tickets than in 2009. Last year’s top prize was

    Perhaps the States Ministers should buy a ticket towards Jersey’s funds? That way if they win they don’t need to up GST!
