Snow causing travel delays
Sunday 19th December 2010, 7:25AM GMT.
AIR passengers travelling between Jersey and the UK are being warned to expect continuing disruption and delay on Sunday.
Snow in Jersey overnight has resulted in the runway at the Airport being closed until 4 pm.
Severe weather in the UK and Europe resulted in a large number of air service cancellations yesterday and further delays were evident today. Thousands of people have been stranded at airports or had travel plans disrupted as they wait for conditions to improve.
In Jersey, airlines said that that unless they heard otherwise, passengers should check-in as usual.
Conditions were expected to improve during the day, with snow turning to sleet and rain, but it will remain cold.
