Airport runway reopens
Monday 20th December 2010, 6:24AM GMT.
The runway at Jersey Airport reopened at 5.45 am today, having been shut all of Sunday because of the weather conditions.
Passengers are being asked to check in on time, although because of the backlog and continuing bad weather in parts of the UK, they are being warned to expect some delays and cancellations.
Heavy snow early yesterday morning meant that, despite efforts to clear it, the runway remained closed all day. Some bus services were also affected but are back to normal today.
Islanders have been among thousands whose travel plans have been disrupted because of severe weather conditions in the UK and Europe over the last few days.
