‘Mad fixation’ leads to revenge car park attack
Monday 20th December 2010, 2:57PM GMT.
AN 18-YEAR-OLD phone thief was subjected to a revenge attack on the top floor of a car park by a man who pretended to be a police officer.
Barry John Dale (36) went to the victim’s home and lied to his father, telling him that he was a member of CID, before bundling the drunken boy into his car with the warning ‘I’m going to take you to a car park to finish you off.’
In the Royal Court on Friday, Dale narrowly avoided prison and was sentenced to 240 hours of community service.
