ST LAWRENCE A finished the year on a high as they regained second place in Division I of the Dominion Winter Netball League.
They defeated Accies A 55-32 although their opponents were down to just three players, from their original squad of eight, due to illness and other commitments, so did well to win the first quarter 10-9.
However, Saints stepped it up a gear and were leading 26-17 by half time and 31-18 going into the final quarter. Calli Bushell, at wing defence for the winners, and Accies’ Janine O’Donnell were named players of the match (PoM).
St Clement A beat St Brelade A 39-22 in the other top flight match after leading 25-13 after hour an hour of play. It was a first PoM of the season for the respective winners Sharon West and Nine McLean.
