Did you see the lunar eclipse?
Tuesday 21st December 2010, 2:57PM GMT.
A total eclipse of the moon was witnesssed by Islanders early today.
It is a phenomenon which happens every few years, but it is the first time in around 400 years that a lunar eclipse has coincided with the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year.
It happens when the moon moves into the earth’s shadow and takes on a reddish tinge.

KIT 4 CLUBS
Win a share of £10,000
2012 is the year of the London Olympics and to celebrate this great event the Jersey Evening Post, in association with sponsors Ogier is giving all sporting clubs a chance to win a share of £10,000.
Glad to hear it wasn’t a new tax grab, on the working people of Jersey, by our Demi-God leaders Ozouf & Co. I doubt they will wait another 400 years before coming up with something on a par (no doubt without touching the hallowed 1(1)Ks).
