Last flight out takes off at midnight

Some flights were cancelled this morning

The Airport stayed open late to clear the backlog

THERE was more disruption for passengers at the Airport yesterday evening after snow at Gatwick led to a number of flights being cancelled.

However, the Airport stayed open to clear the backlog, with the final flight, a British Airways service to Gatwick, leaving just after midnight.

This morning all UK airports serving Jersey were open and most services were expected to run, although passengers were being warned to expect delays.

And it was not all bad for delayed passengers at the Airport yesterday afternoon, as they were entertained by the Vivace Ensemble, a string quartet who had been playing in the Island with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
