Christmas Day swims
Wednesday 29th December 2010, 3:00PM GMT.
SEVERAL hundred people plunged into the sea on Christmas morning to raise money for charity.
A large crowd gathered at Ouaisné at 10.30 am to raise money for Jersey Hospice Care and St Brelade’s Youth Project.
More than 120 turned up for the traditional Jersey Swimming Club event at Havre des Pas where funds were being raised for the Jersey Cheshire Home.
The Jersey Sufboard Club met at the Watersplash to raise money for Jersey Hospice; and the Jersey Canoe Club dived into the icy water from the St Catherine’s slipway.
