Badminton duo both seeded to reach finals

TWO Island badminton stars are seeded to reach the national championship finals next month.
Elizabeth Cann, the reigning champion, is seeded number one in her attempt to win her fifth English title at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester on 6 Feburary.
Cann, who is nominated for the Sportingbet Channel Islands Sports Personality of 2010 Award, also won team bronze for England at the Commonwealths, as did Jersey’s Mariana Agathangelou.
Agathangelou, who represents Avon, is second seed in the women’s doubles alongside Heather Olver of Sussex.
