A Rhea of the type which has escaped
ISLANDERS are being asked to keep their eyes peeled for a 6 ft tall leggy bird causing quite a stir in the northern parishes.
But the mystery is not quite as glamorous as it may sound – as the slender legs and cheeky smile actually belong to a four-year-old ostrich- type bird which recently escaped from a field in Bonne Nuit.
The feathered fugitive bolted from his home on Monday and quickly disappeared into the St John countryside.
