FORMER JEP assistant editor Anthony Lewis received a standing ovation as he was presented with a special Achievement of 2010 award at the Sportingbet Sports Personality of the Year awards last night.
Anthony, who suffered a stroke in 2007 which left him with limited speech and mobility, last year battled around the Standard Chartered Marathon course over six days to raise money for the Jersey branch of the Stroke Association.

Meanwhile, Jersey’s inspirational rugby player Nick Trower was last night named Sports Personality of the Year.
