States praised for support of industry

THE Lieutenant-Governor praised the way the States supports industry when he gave a farewell speech to business leaders yesterday.

Lieutenant-General Andrew Ridgway will leave the Island later this year and the speech to the Jersey Chamber of Commerce was the first of what are expected to be a round of events to mark his departure.

And the handful of politicians in the audience of 240 would have been heartened to hear that the Lieutenant-Governor believes the States is generally working effectively to support the Island’s main industries.

If you are thinking of getting the ferry, you might think about sharing a lift with Bill Ogley.
You may find similar roles are no longer available in North Africa and the M.E.

We could be able to buy school milk and run a physio pool if you are not replaced!

I for one would not miss your odd ‘Mr Ben’ dressing up days at my expense.
