Woman rescued after cliff fall
Monday 21st February 2011, 2:58PM GMT.
A 56-YEAR-OLD woman was winched to safety after falling down rocks near Portelet Common yesterday.
The woman phoned for help after she fell about 6 ft down the cliff at Point du Fret and twisted her ankle.
Paramedics and firefighters were sent to the scene and found the woman at the base of the cliff.
The woman, who had been walking alone, was eventually winched to safety after a two hour and forty minute rescue operation.
