Fraud charges ‘ruined my life’

A FORMER director of a finance firm has spoken of how his life has been devastated despite being cleared of both criminal and regulatory allegations of dishonesty.
Jeremy Leslie-Smith was cleared of nine charges of fraud by an Assize jury in February 2010.
The former director of Oracle Financial Services was accused of the crime of adjusting computer records in an attempt to defraud.
And earlier this month he also successfully appealed to the Royal Court against regulatory sanctions that the Jersey Financial Services Commission wanted to issue against him.
