Music festival spreads its wings

THE team behind the popular Grassroots festival in Jersey is branching out and will produce a second music festival in France this year.
The Allez-oop team, who organised the Grassroots festival at Val de la Mare reservoir in July last year, will be producing a music festival called Groundswell at surf resort Hossegor in the south-west of France.
The festival will be held on 17 September and organisers say it will combine ‘sun, surf, international music acts and eco-credibility’.
Last year Grassroots attracted 4,500 Islanders and the event will be held again this year on 23 July.
