Guernsey revival ‘good for Jersey’

Jersey won the Under 11s match, along with five others

GUERNSEY’S top netballers may have narrowed the gap in the the senior inter-insular, but it was still overwhelmingly Jersey’s weekend as they won six of the eight netball clashes at Beau Sejour.

Although victory margins were tighter as Jersey won the Senior A game 42-35 – compared to 55-24 two years ago – coach Linda Andrews was thrilled not only by her side’s performance but also with the strong resurgence of the Sarnian side.

‘Guernsey had really upped their level,’ she said. ‘Not just in the top match but across the board and it really made for some competitive games.’
