Wales help Jersey prepare

Jersey touch players are off to a training camp at the weekend

THE Jersey Touch mixed open squad will get a good measure of their progress before this summer’s World Cup when they join Wales in a training camp this weekend.

Currently ranked fifth and sixth in the world, and second and third in Europe, respectively, Wales and Jersey have a built a close relationship from a history of competitive meetings and from several Jersey players representing Cardiff in UK National competitions.

The elite European referee’s squad will be joining the sides at the training event in Bristol with an aim to pushing each other’s development and raising standards before the World Cup in Edinburgh which runs from 22-26 June.
