Revamp for Jersey lottery?
Friday 25th March 2011, 2:57PM GMT.
A REVAMP of Jersey’s lottery could see more bumper draws with high cash prizes and automatic ticket terminals around the Island.
The changes would bring in more funds for charities, as well as support other organisations including those linked with the arts, heritage and sport.
As part of a major review of the Island’s lottery, terminals are likely to be installed later this year around the Island at which the public will be able to purchase tickets right up to when the draw takes place.
They will also be able to play individual games at the terminals giving them the chance to win prizes at that time.

KIT 4 CLUBS
Win a share of £10,000
2012 is the year of the London Olympics and to celebrate this great event the Jersey Evening Post, in association with sponsors Ogier is giving all sporting clubs a chance to win a share of £10,000.

Why bother. No-one ever wins. Get the National Lottery in (oh sorry, we can’t because one little Constable from St Clements, Len Norman, says no)

will the first prize be enough to buy a house, as it used to be , before the island lost the plot with prices?

The one island where people need the money the most, because lets face it – food and house prices are ridiculous – and it’s probably the one place with the lowest lottery winnings!
Bring the national lottery and euromillions over!
The Jersey lottery is pointless! Don’t waste your time!

A win on the Jersey lottery won’t buy you a parking space in Plemont let alone financial security or a roof over your head. No thanks. I’d just like the UK/Euromillions lottery please. That’s the stuff that dreams are made of!

And lets have more transparency as well. Can’t believe the Christmas draw was conducted behind closed doors by four people then the winning numbers announced later.Whats wrong with ping pong balls in a bowl?
Only by them at Xmas because they are pointless otherwise.
Bring on the national lottery, big bucks please.

First time I have seen that women who selsl the tickets in that picture with a smile on her face. I had to double take to see who it was.
Yer, get the UK lottery in. Len Norman is so rich he isn’t bothered about buying lottery tickets.

I agree with the many other comments. It’s about time the National Lottery arrived here. Can’t the States see that the commission from this ‘franchise’ would generate more income than they currently receive from the local lottery?

National Lottery please, local lottery win would barely pay for a good night out.
As for Ex Sen Len, stick to lowering speed limits and causing crashes, it’s what you’re good at.
