Damaged motorboat beached at Gorey
Monday 18th April 2011, 2:58PM BST.
AN Islander was forced to beach his luxury motorboat yesterday after it began sinking following an accident at the Ecréhous reef.
The 13-metre boat with five people on board began taking on water after striking a submerged object near the reef, off the north-east coast of Jersey.
The crew made it to within a mile of Gorey harbour before calling for help shortly before 6 pm as water poured into their boat.
