Gorrod shines in London
Monday 18th April 2011, 3:00PM BST.
Jersey’s Jo Gorrod broke her own Channel Islands women’s record for the marathon in London yesterday.
She shaved 66 seconds off the record she set in Rotterdam last year to finish in 2.50.54.
Meanwhile Guernsey’s Lee Merrien had another terrific run in London to finish first of the British men in a personal best time of 2.14.27. The time was just outside the qualifying time for the World Championships in Korea in September.
