Workman impaled on iron bar
Wednesday 20th April 2011, 2:59PM BST.
A WORKMAN was seriously injured yesterday when he was impaled on a metal bar at a St Saviour construction site.
The 50-year-old is believed to have been climbing a fence at the site when he slipped and fell onto the rod used to reinforce concrete which pierced his arm.
A fire crew and paramedics were called to the construction site at the private property to provide emergency treatment and help free the man.
It is believed that he was this morning in a stable condition in hospital.
