Year in jail for attack in town
Wednesday 20th April 2011, 2:58PM BST.
AN apprentice plumber who kicked a man in the face in a street attack after drinking 15 pints of lager was jailed for a year by the Royal Court yesterday.
Christopher Andrew Hervé (22) was one of three men who chased and attacked the victim, putting the boot in as he was lying on the floor while a female friend tried desperately to shield him.
The court was shown CCTV footage of the attack, which took place at the bottom of King Street on 4 November last year, and saw Hervé twice kick the man hard.
‘[Hervé] delivered a running kick to the area of [the victim's] upper body or head,’ Crown Advocate Andrew Belhomme told the court.
