Getting information is ‘like pulling teeth’

GETTING information out of the Health department is like ‘extracting teeth’, Members were told.
St Brelade Deputy Angela Jeune said that it was ‘extremely difficult’ to get answers and complained that she found the experience very frustrating.
She made the comments after asking a question about the money paid to the new head of the Accident and Emergency department at the Hospital.
‘I have put in written and oral questions and the answers given are not the answers to my questions,’ she said.
Assistant Health Minister Eddie Noel, standing in for Health Minister Anne Pryke, then said that the department did their best to give answers.
‘On many occasions I have personally invited Deputy Jeune in to discuss such matters, but some instances are out of our control and she should be speaking with the States Employment Board,’ he added.

Suprise, getting info out of a States Dept difficult?

Welcome to the real world Deputy.
Try DVS or somewhere next, you can get info, but it usually changes with every tide. Or Tax, they expect you to contact them to see if you owe any money months after they have received your form and calculated your % rate. If you don’t you will get a bill on top of what you pay, maybe a grand or so like myself and others I know. Yeah great, I have a grand hanging around….”you should have contacted us to check what you owe” was what I was told.
Why do I bother filling in the forms and them doing a calculation.

All these questions/statements from people not heard of for 3 years,not election year is it by chance?

Eddie Noel….why is everything he does a secret..? we have a right to information…in my experience those who are furtive in their dealings do not want others to see what is going on…why is that Eddie…? usually two motives….up to no good….or totally afraid to look incompetent…come on Tell us what.
