THE cameras, cars, frocks and poses could mean only one thing outside the Pomme d’Or hotel on Friday night – the school prom season was under way.
With all the confidence and style of Hollywood A-listers, the Haute Vallée class of 2011 arrived in everything from limos and Lambos to a US Army lorry and a good old-fashioned horse and cart.
It was the Year 11 students’ big farewell to the St Helier secondary school, and they got the send-off they were after. Fellow pupils in more junior years joined parents, staff and a few fascinated passers-by in the crowd to cheer each and every arrival.
