Guernsey’s day at La Moye

ISLAND Champion Trevor Gray was unable to add the Channel Islands crown to his trophy cabinet at La Moye yesterday, as he was beaten 7 and 5 by Guernsey’s Bobby Eggo.
It certainly was Guernsey’s day, with the Sarnian raiders also winning both ladies finals and the junior contest.
Gray, who qualified for the match with his record sixth Island Championship last month, was hoping to win his third Channel Island title, while Eggo, a record ten time Guernsey champion, was looking for an unprecedented seventh victory.
