The trial is being heard in the Royal Court

A MAN bit a chunk out of another man’s lip after they bumped shoulders in the Live Lounge bar on Christmas Eve, an Assize jury heard yesterday.

Jack William Stirling’s attack left his 23-year-old victim having to spend the rest of Christmas Eve having his lip grafted back on.

Mr Stirling denies a charge of grave and criminal assault and claims he only bit his victim in self defence.
