Funds sector continues to grow, latest figures show

THE funds industry continues to flourish while the rest of the Island’s finance sector appears to be fighting back, according to the latest statistics.
More than 40 new funds registered in Jersey from January to March this year, the highest number in a quarter since 2008.
As a consequence, the value of funds administered in the Island grew to its highest level since June 2009.
Meanwhile, bank deposits increased by three per cent and the number of registered companies also rose in the 12-week period.
