BACK to back gold medals are the aim for the men’s football team in the Isle of Wight.

After beating hosts Aland to win the final two years’ ago, Craig Culkin’s side hopes to go where no team has gone before and retain the honours.

This talented side begins their highly-anticipated title defence against Menorca before games against Rhodes and Greenland in one of the toughest groups of the draw.

Craig Fletcher (28): Goalkeeper. Fund administrator. Making his Games debut. Plays for Jersey Scottish.
Did you know? Craig has a phobia of snakes.
Sporting idol: Pat Brennan.

Nick Ashley (20): Goalkeeper. Sport Science student at Chichester University. Going to his first Games and hopes to get a few matches under his belt.
Did you know? Last year Nick played a football match which started in England and finished in Wales.
Sporting idol: Joe Hart.

Stuart André (27): Captain. Defender. Trust administrator. Led the team to gold in Aland 2009 and competed in Rhodes 2007. St Paul’s Golf Open runner-up.
Did you know? Stuart is a keen reader of Shakespeare.
Sporting idol: Tony Adams.

Luke Watson (24): Midfielder. Floor layer. Going to his second Games after winning gold in Aland 2009. Muratti caps at U16, U18, U21 and senior level.
Did you know? Luke claims to be decent at FIFA (ask Craig Russell).
Sporting idol: Tim Cahill.
Craig Leitch (26): Trust administrator. Striker. Played in the 2007 Rhodes Island Games. Has won all domestic football honours with St Paul’s.
Did you know? Craig won this year’s St Paul’s Golf Open.
Sporting idol: Stuart Andre.

Jean-Paul Martyn (26): Self-Employed. Striker. Part of the winning Aland 2009 team. Has won U21 and Senior Muratti caps plus numerous domestic honours.
Did you know? JP once starred in Hollyoaks.
Sporting idols: Zinedine Zidane and Stuart Andre.

Luke Campbell (22): Defender. Assistant quantity surveyor. Games debut. Plays for Jersey Wanderers.
Did you know? Luke claims he was an Island under-14 champion at lawn bowls. He is also Chimes Bar karaoke champion 2009.
Sporting idols: David Weir and Ally McCoist.

Kurtis Guthrie (18): Striker. Works at DIS Electricians. Going to his first Games and hoping to play as many minutes as he can.
Did you know? Kurtis played in all three Muratti games this year, winning the U21 Man of the Match honour, scoring two goals in the U18s and coming on in the Senior game.
Sporting idol: Didier Drogba.

Jay Reid (20): Midfielder. Carpenter. Going to his second Games after winning gold in Aland 2009. U21 Muratti captain.
Did you know? Jay knocked out Jack Boyle in a boxing match.
Sporting idol: Gennaro Gatuso

Jake Baker (18): Midfielder. Unemployed footballer. Making his Games debut. Former player at Plymouth Argyle FC. U16 double champion with St Paul’s.
Did you know? Jake has never lost a FIFA game with Bolton.
Sporting idol: Ryan Giggs.

Jack Cannon (24): Left back. Carpenter. Going to his third Games after Rhodes 2007 and title winning Aland 2009. Has five senior and one U21 Muratti winners’ medals plus six trophies with St Paul’s in 2010.
Did you know? Jack played at AFC Bournemouth from the age of 16-19.
Sporting idols: Paul Scholes & Rivaldo.

Jamie Savory (23): Striker. Painter and decorator. First Games. Plays for Jersey Wanderers and trialled as a youngster with Tottenham Hotspur FC.
Did you know? Jamie claims he can do six back flips forward!
Sporting idol: Hulk Hogan.

Joe Murphy (25): Striker. Salesman. Making his Games debut. Plays for St Ouen and formerly semi-professional with Marine FC.
Did you know? Joe claims to be allergic to beer.
Sporting idol: Duncan Ferguson.

Craig Russell (23): Striker, Carpenter. Won Gold in Aland 2009. U18, U21 and two Senior Muratti wins.
Did you know? Craig describes himself as a bit of a pool shark.
Sporting idol: Stevie Gerrard.

Ben Gallichan (22): Left wing. Electrician. Going to his second Games after Aland two years’ ago. Footballer of the Year 2010/11.
Did you know? Ben can touch his nose with his tongue.
Sporting idol: Igor Biscan.

Robert McBey (24): Jersey Scottish Central defender. Roofing contractor. Going to first Games.
Did you know? Rob worked on Durban World Cup Stadium.
Sporting idols: Rio Ferdinand and Stuart André.

Mark Lucas (26): Midfielder. Accountant. Won gold in Aland 2009. BUSA champions and won U18, U21 and four senior Muratti Caps plus various club honours.
Did you know? Mark was Cardiff University Sportsman of the Year 2006.
Sporting idol: Didier Deschamps.

James Scott (30): Right back. PE teacher at Grainville School. Going to his second Games after Rhodes 2007 where the team finished sixth. Has won four Murattis and numerous honours with Jersey Scottish FC.
Did you know? James is the only ‘daddy’ in the team.
Sporting idol: ‘Super’ Ally McCoist.

Lucas Parker (22): Left back/utility. Plumber. Going to his first Games. Has an U21 Muratti cap and plays for St Ouen.
Did you know? Lucas has not been sent off in four years.
Sporting idol: My Grandad.

Lee Bradshaw (26): Defender. Teacher. Going to his third Games after the Isle of Man 2001, for table tennis, and Guernsey 2003 for football where they won bronze. Plays for the Sussex county team.
Did you know? Lee coached Warren Park Primary School to the English Schools national football finals where from 29,000 entries they finished runners-up.
Sporting idol: Ruud Gullit.
