MORE than 200 Jersey athletes swapped one island for another yesterday when they travelled to the Natwest Island Games in the Isle of Wight.
Lord Coe, chairman of the London Olympics Organising Committee, was due to officially open the14th Island Games tonight, and Jersey will be hoping to return in a week’s time with a healthy clutch of medals.
More than 4,000 athletes from 25 islands have travelled to the Isle of Wight, ready to compete in 14 sports over the week-long event.
