Remembering the evacuees

THE departure of evacuees from Jersey before the Occupation was remembered at a service yesterday at the Albert Pier.
The Bailiff, Michael Birt, and Chief Minister Terry Le Sueur both laid wreaths at the ceremony held in front of the Lifeboat Station.
It is the seventh time that the service has been held and the sixth ceremony at the Albert Pier.
