The Jersey Rifle Association team at Bisley have again done the Island proud at the annual Imperial Meeting
JERSEY shooters rounded off their near two weeks at Bisley with further team successes as the 142nd Imperial Meeting concluded on Saturday.
The Overseas Trophy was regained from Guernsey as Daniel Richardson led the Jersey team of 12 with a score of 105 and 16 v-bulls out of a maximum 105.21. The course of fire was seven shots to count for each of the 300, 500 and 600-yard distances.
Richardson, as previously reported, placed a personal best sixth in the Grand Aggregate; Alex Langley also had a PB of 27th while David Le Quesne was unfortunate to finished one place outside the top 50. In the Kolapore shoot on Friday, the most prestigious team shoot over the short range distances, the Jersey Rifle Association finished second behind Great Britain.
Jersey had a fantastic day but they just fell away over the final distance to eventually be beaten by eight points.
