Aimée Furnival
A JERSEY designer has been given the rare stamp of approval by Lord Sugar.
Aimée Furnival (30) developed a garden in a greeting card, known as Postcarden, and Lord Sugar chose the product to feature in a sales challenge on his hit BBC show The Apprentice.
More than eight million viewers tune in to the show each week and Miss Furnival said she was pleased to get so much exposure for the first product she had designed.
Postcarden is a greeting card which transforms into a little garden. It comes flat-packed with cress seeds and grows daily.
Miss Furnival said: ‘A greeting card is a thing that everybody buys and sometimes isn’t actually that thoughtful. I wanted to make something interactive, something which was engaging and gave the normal greeting card a longer life. It definitely wasn’t a eureka moment, though – it took a while!’
