THERE are wholesale changes to Jersey’s line-up as they bid to regain the Challenge Trophy in the golf inter-insular in Guernsey next month.
Only four of last year’s beaten side remain – La Moye’s Andy Clarke and Craig Neilson and Royal Jersey’s James Birch and Nick Wildman. Royal Jersey’s Sam Crenan and Gavin O’Neill and La Moye’s Richard Ramskill return after being unavailable last year, while there are recalls for La Moye’s Bob Wickings and Royal Jersey’s Matthew Parkman and Trevor Gray, the latter who is Island champion. Jersey’s travelling reserve is La Moye’s Chris Young.
Jersey manager and sole selector Steve Bowen said: ‘I’m really excited about the Jersey team and I’m confident they will do well. ‘Guernsey has proved hard to beat in the last two years and I know they will be gunning to make it three wins in a row.’
