Parish to explain accounts delay

The Constable, Graeme Butcher, has fixed the meeting for next Wednesday

DISPUTES over finances that are understood to have held up the signing of the St John parish accounts will be explained at the long-awaited rates meeting next week.

Parish Constable Graeme Butcher has called the meeting at 7.30 pm on Wednesday after weeks of delay.

A brief statement from the parish Procureurs du Bien Public – parish officials responsible for handling the parish accounts – a fortnight ago indicated that the annual audit had been ‘widened’ this year but they did not specify why.
