Portugal on a plate
Saturday 27th August 2011, 2:56PM BST.
THE People’s Park will be filled with the smells and sounds of Madeira over the few days as the Portuguese Food Fair gets into full swing.
The barbecues, spits and ovens were fired up on Thursday as the festival began its five-day run.
This year the fair, which is free to enter, begins at midday each day and features live music, one of Portugal’s best known comics – Fernando Rocha – and family attractions including fairground rides.
