Au Caprice bought by online retailer
Tuesday 20th September 2011, 3:00PM BST.
A LONG-ESTABLISHED Channel Islands cosmetics and perfume business, Au Caprice, has been acquired by Europe’s largest online beauty retailer, feelunique.com.
The two businesses merged last week, creating an organisation with a presence in King Street and Guernsey’s High Street as well as its virtual trading arm operating through the internet and its Jersey hair and beauty salons and Beresford Street store.
The owner and managing director of Au Caprice, David Agnes, has joined the board of feelunique.com and will retain responsibility for the management of the Jersey and Guernsey shops.
Mr Agnes will also play an active role on the board, helping to plan the new organisation’s strategy.

KIT 4 CLUBS
Win a share of £10,000
2012 is the year of the London Olympics and to celebrate this great event the Jersey Evening Post, in association with sponsors Ogier is giving all sporting clubs a chance to win a share of £10,000.

Presumably this means a loss of revenue to the island as I assume it ceases to be taxed as a local company.

Before you moan perhaps you should do some research a quick google of feelunique jersey shows
1) feelunique.com is a local jersey company
And if you had read any of the coverage regarding the 0-10 tax regime as amended this year
2) tax rates for local and non local companies are now the same hence the EU has approved the 0-10 tax scheme this month after deemed dividends were removed.
Let’s start celebrating the fact our new tax structure is approved and fair to both local and non local and encourages investment. Plus we can celebrate this local investment by a local company that seems to be doing very well
