The best in Britain
Wednesday 21st September 2011, 3:00PM BST.
JERSEY’S Lucy O’Sullivan is the best women’s compound archer in Britain.
At Speke Hall, Liverpool, at the weekend, she won the women’s title for the second time in three years by beating first Andrea Gales in the semi-finals and then Nichola Simpson in the final.
Although there was little to chose between Simpson and O’Sullivan, with the sets tied at two-all, Lucy pounced in the fourth, finishing with a 9-10-10 to Nichola’s 8-10-10 to clinch the set, the championship and $2,000 in prize money from sponsors Hoyt.
