ONE of Jersey’s finest private art collections is being opened exclusively to raise money for Jersey Side by Side’s Big Days Out Haiti Appeal.
The tenth Earl of Jersey, William Villiers, has kindly agreed to host an evening at Radier Manor when Islanders will get a very rare opportunity to see his family’s world class collection of works by the major impressionists.

He will be joined in his private gallery on the night by art expert James Miller, a former deputy chairman of Sotheby’s London and the host of Channel Five programme Hidden Treasure Houses.

Lord Jersey, whose family was given its title by William III in 1697, has also agreed to exhibit many family portraits and talk about some of his more colourful ancestors.

As well as learning about the collections, those who attend the evening on Wednesday 12 October between 7 pm and 9 pm will be given a glass of bubbly and nibbles.

Those wanting to reserve a place should call Andy Sibcy on 611636 or email bigdaysout@jerseyeveningpost.com.
