Furze blaze sweeps across clifftop
Monday 26th September 2011, 2:58PM BST.
A LARGE area of countryside was destroyed last night(SUNDAY) as the biggest furze fire of the year ripped through headland along St Ouen’s Bay.
Firefighters were called out at about 7.15 pm as ten foot high flames tore across shrub land between La Pulente and Petit Port, at the southern end of the bay.
