TWO men were arrested in the Island yesterday as part of an international investigation into drug smuggling.
Working with French and UK law enforcement agencies, the States police took the men into custody on suspicion of being involved in a plot to bring drugs into Jersey.
A statement released by the Jersey force said: ‘Both men were arrested following the detention of a courier in France who was in possession of a commercial amount of cannabis believed to be destined for Jersey.’
