St Ouen’s Bay

000111-2.jpgSt Ouen’s bay is one of Jersey’s finest beaches, and if you’ve come to the Island to surf, look no further.

It is possible to hire surfboards at La Braye, the Watersplash and Sands. Expert tuition is also available, so you can learn to surf in safety. However, St Ouen’s Bay is often battered by a heavy swell which can make bathing very hazardous. As a result, lifeguards are constantly on duty and will position flags to indicate the safest zone away from rips and undertows.

There is plenty of parking along the five-mile stretch of St Ouen’s Bay and refreshments can be bought at numerous places, including La Braye, and at La Pulente, the Watersplash, Sands and La Saline. Also, the sand dunes are just a stone’s throw away.

Served by bus route 12a.
