Walking

000182-1.jpgThere are many lovely walks in the Island ranging from cliff paths to quiet country lanes.

Whether coast walks, woodland walks or pub walks are your thing, Jersey is a maze of paths and lanes just waiting to be explored.

There are a number of allocated ‘Green Lanes’ around the Island which have a 15 mph speed limit and give priority to pedestrians and cyclists. This makes walking around the Island a safe and experience.

You could try beginning at Les Landes, on the north-west coast, walking past Grosnez Castle and admiring the views of St Ouen’s Bay and the other Channel Islands. A short walk away is Plémont beach – with a great beach café for a welcome rest. Or you could start at another northerly beach, at Grève de Lecq, walk along the north-coast footpaths and then inland to La Mare Vineyards.

If you begin in the east, you could start at Gorey then venture over to Rozel Bay or St Catherine, enjoy lunch, and return through the Green Lanes.
