With the sea being so much a part of the Jersey lifestyle it’s not surprising that there are quite a few places to catch up with some fresh fish.
Across the road from the Central Market in Beresford Street, the fish market embodies all that is the best of the fruits from local waters. Shellfish at the market is a particular speciality. There are also several places to eat, a fishing tackle shop and an up-market cheese and wine shop.

Both markets are open all year round, but keep the old tradition of closing on a Thursday afternoon.

Fish Vans
A local speciality is fresh fish and seafood. There are several fish vans located at various sites around the Island, where these can be purchased. Also for sale are cooked, and live, fresh shellfish, gambas and prawns.
