THE Hospital League of Friends’ café and shop at the General Hospital has been given a bright new welcoming look.

A major refurbishment has just been completed and last night Deputy Bailiff William Bailhache officially opened the facility, which remains on the hospital’s ground floor but has been moved to where the florist was formerly sited near the Parade entrance.

The charity’s chairman, Jenny Bailhache, said that they were delighted with the new café and shop, which were now more cheerful and modern.

‘We are already receiving a very positive response from our customers, and we now have a lovely environment for our hard-working team of volunteers,’ she said.
