A SERIES of early morning break-ins in St Helier are being investigated by the police.

Shards of glass were littered across Broad Street this morning after the large front window of Elmina, a hairdressers, was smashed just after 5 am.

A group of thieves are believed to have entered the building and stolen items worth hundreds of pounds.

Police believe the incident is linked to the break-in of four cars which were parked in the Esplanade car park this morning.
