A MARKETING campaign that played a key role in turning around the fortunes of Jersey Heritage won four awards at a gala ceremony on Friday night.

And the marketing and public relations agency which devised the Jersey Heritage strategy, Orchid Communications, won a total of six awards.

The agency run by husband and wife team Allan and Sam Watts dominated proceedings at the Chartered Institute of Marketing annual awards gala at the Hotel de France attended by more than 500 people.

At one point the guest presenter – television personality Ruby Wax – said to the Orchid team as they made their way to the stage again: ‘Why don’t you guys just stay up here?’

So well done Jersey Heritage,if I have got this right the Chartered Institute of marketing awards Gala dinner ceremony whereby, a marketing organisation gives an award for marketing but not to a private company that may not be able to affort a marketing firm but a Gov. trust that gets over 2.3 million pounds States grant to spend on marketeting that gets an award for marketing.

    Which means what exactly ?

Well done Heritage, as the on lin
    article says,

A MARKETING campaign that played a key role in turning around the fortunes of Jersey Heritage.

Excellent news, this obviously means that in these hard financial times, that the Heritage Trust will not be asking for taxpayers money by way of a grant.

Well done Mr Carter and his team.
